The Internet
In the war on terror, the Internet is best described as a double-edged sword. It has aided governments in detecting and thwarting terrorist operations, but it has also been of great strategic importance to terrorists. The Internet is an important source of information for terrorist activities, a means for disseminating propaganda and a means for supporting communities and networks dedicated to supporting or pursuing terrorism.
